A Brief Spotlight On My Day
It snowed here today. I went outside and made myself a snowman. I called him Chris. Mr. H, for short.
After I made Mr. H., he started mouthing off about how it sucks to live in Minnesota.
Be quiet, I told him. It could be worse. We could live in Arizona. Well then he just wouldn't shut up about Arizona. I reminded him that if he lived in Arizona, he'd be nothing more than a fading wet spot on the sidewalk. But did that still his lips? No. He kept yakking away about how superior the weather is in Arizona.
So I knocked his head off.
He's quieter now. A bit more thoughtful as well. We sat on the front steps and enjoyed the peaceful snowfall. And then I plucked out his mouth and tossed it to the birds.
I felt good.

Let's add it up here:
MN = cold weather (which sucks) + an absolutely insane state legislature + $5 BILLION in new/increased taxes for a total score of -3 on a scale of 1 to 10.
AZ = warm weather (which doesn't suck) + 12 billion illegal immigrants - 480% less tax on beer (which offsets any illegal immigrants) + we can buy beer at any grocery store/gas station/drive thru liquor stores for total score of +157 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Also, I don't need the therapy of abusing poor innocent snowpeople, I can just go get another beer while I soak in the pool.

I think you've been soaking in the pool a little too long there, Mr. H. Your tremendous regret at moving away from the homeland is clear in your extreme defensiveness of the (weakly represented) benefits of living in Arizona.
It's okay. You just go right on thinking that. Whatever gets you through the day. We understand.
Cory, now that I look at it again, that snowman (especially the bald head) has a remarkable resemblance to you! Weird!
